Tips
During
the videoconference
- Punctuality: begin and finish
on time.
.
- Start and finish properly: welcome
and ask about if your interlocutors are listening and seeing properly.
Introduce your students and thank for having this opportunity.
.
- Take care of the voice: The quality
of the sound diminishes during the videoconference and the transmission
produces a delay of about one second, and sometimes we are talking in
a second language. In conclusion, we must remind our students to speak
loudly, clearly, slowly and vocalizing. We have to do some pauses so
that the interlocutor can make comments if he wants.
.
- Avoid noises:don’t move
desks and chairs, don’t crease papers, etc. You can use the button
to silence the microphone
.
- Be natural: Encourage your students
to take part spontaneously. When a student is going to speak he should
introduce himself.
.
- Focus the topic: if the objectives
of the videoconference are not being fulfilled you can interrupt and
try to return to the topic or to allow students that haven’t taken
part to speak.
